A special mobile application called “Male Taxi”, developed to further strengthen and modernize taxi services in Malé, has been officially launched and put into use. Through this application, users can easily book a taxi, schedule rides up to 3 hours in advance, and make payments using a digital wallet or card. The application, which is now available on both Apple and Android devices, includes an emergency feature for customer safety as well as a lost and found reporting system. In addition to the application, taxi services can also be requested through the website and the hotline 1655.

This service, initiated by the government to ease transportation difficulties in the Malé region, was officially launched by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at a special ceremony held on the evening of April 2nd at Hulhumalé Central Park.
