The Sri-Lanka-Maldives Business Forum

The Sri Lanka-Maldives Business Forum was successfully held to strengthen and expand trade relations between the two countries. The forum was organized in connection with Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s official visit to the Maldives. Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed participated in the ceremony held at Hotel Jen.

Speaking at the forum, Minister Saeed noted that diplomatic dialogue between the two countries had been transformed into numerous opportunities for the private sector. He explained that the main objective of these discussions was to further strengthen and expand trade relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka, while identifying strategic investment partnerships that would benefit both nations. Additionally, he highlighted efforts to enhance regional economic cooperation and facilitate sustainable and robust connections between the business communities of both countries.

Minister Saeed expressed gratitude and appreciation to Sri Lankan President Dissanayake and Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu for their skilled and visionary leadership in this important endeavor. He concluded by expressing his hope that the friendship and cooperation between the two countries would continue to expand and progress.
