The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade held a meeting today, with Ms. Iiris Maatta, Second Secretary of Finland Business, to explore new avenues of investment in the Maldives.

The meeting focused on flagship projects that were being undertaken, ways the government aims to broaden the creative economy, sustainable projects and an overview of the different industries.

Furthermore, Invest Maldives also briefed on some of the new reforms undertaken by the government, such as the Special Economic Zones (SEZ) and the new Foreign Investment (FI) policy.

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade also hosted a webinar last Wednesday, in collaboration with Business Finland and Finland Embassy.

Officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, and the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources also participated in the webinar.
