Minister Saeed inaugurates FHAM 2025 International Culinary Challenge & Exhibition

Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Hon. Mohamed Saeed, the inauguration of the Food & Hospitality Asia Maldives (FHAM) 2025 International Culinary Challenge & Exhibition as Chief Guest.

The inauguration ceremony was held today at Hulhumale’ Central Park.

Recognized as the premier event for the hospitality industry in the Maldives, FHAM 2025 brings together exhibitors from across the globe, providing products and services essential for the country’s world-class tourism sector.

The highlight of the exhibition is the International Culinary Challenge, organized in collaboration with the Chefs Guild of Maldives and the Chefs Guild of Lanka. As the only World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WACS) Continental Culinary Competition in South Asia, the event features over 500 chefs from more than 80 resorts, hotels, and restaurants in the Maldives and the region.

This year’s competition showcases a distinguished panel of judges, including Chef Thomas Gugler, Immediate Past President of WACS, alongside Gerard Mendis, Uwe Micheel, Dimuthu Kumarasinghe, and Ishaq Solih. The platform continues to serve as a key meeting point for local and international food and beverage executives to engage with chefs and explore industry needs.

The FHAM 2025 International Culinary Challenge & Exhibition will take place from September 7th to 9th, 2025.
