Maldives exports increased by 222% in July

Statistics show that goods exports from the Maldives increased by 222 percent in July 2025.

According to statistics published by Maldives Customs Service, goods worth 210 million rufiyaa were exported last July, which is a 222% increase compared to the 65 million rufiyaa worth of goods exported in July 2024.

Last July, the Maldives mainly exported processed and canned fish products. According to the statistics, Thailand was the largest destination for goods exports in July.

Last month, goods worth 111 million rufiyaa (53%) were exported to Thailand, while the United Kingdom was the second largest export destination with goods worth 38 million rufiyaa. Additionally, 10 million rufiyaa worth of goods were exported to Mauritius, 9 million rufiyaa to France, and 6 million rufiyaa to Vietnam last month.
