The Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade has officially launched the “AguMagu” application, which allows users to conveniently view the prices of everyday items from a single platform.
The application has been introduced with the objective of making the latest market prices of commonly purchased goods easily accessible to the public. Through the app, consumers can independently determine whether the price of a particular item is reasonable compared with prevailing market prices. The app displays the lowest price, average price, and highest price of items sold across different shops. In addition, users can view detailed price changes for items over the past 10 days.
One of the most notable features of the “AguMagu” application is the ability to compare prices between two islands in real time. This makes it easier for users to find out which island offers cheaper prices before travelling or making a purchase. The app also allows users to monitor the prices of items they intend to buy. When the price of a selected item increases or decreases, the user receives an instant notification.
To make household shopping more convenient, users can create and save shopping lists within the application. They can check the current prices of items on the list at any time, and the app also calculates the total cost of the entire list. This makes it easier to identify the cheapest overall shopping option and locate the places where individual items are available at the best prices.
The application is now available for download on both the iOS App Store and the Android Play Store.
