Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Mohamed Saeed, officiated the special ceremony held on June 5, 2026, to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the Business Center Corporation (BCC).

In his address at the event, Minister Mohamed Saeed highlighted the vital contributions made by BCC in empowering Maldivian entrepreneurs and strengthening the nation’s business ecosystem. The Minister noted that over the past years, the corporation has delivered exemplary and significant progress to the Maldivian economic sector.

The Minister further commended BCC for its continuous support to entrepreneurs, specifically praising its efforts in fostering the growth of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Additionally, he emphasized the corporation’s leading role in creating new economic opportunities and facilitating innovative thinking within the country.

BCC is a key corporation established by the government to provide support and develop the SME sector in the Maldives. The anniversary ceremony was attended by senior officials of BCC along with numerous stakeholders from the business community.
