Tradian Platform to Launch Vessel Declaration, Fireworks Import Permit, and Flare Import Permit Services on 10 May

Tradian Platform to Launch Vessel Declaration, Fireworks Import Permit, and Flare Import Permit Services on 10 May

Effective 10 May 2026, the National Single Window platform “Tradian” will expand its services to include Vessel Declaration, Fireworks Import Permit, and Flare Import Permit services, further strengthening ongoing efforts to streamline and digitalize cross-border trade procedures in the Maldives.

This initiative aims to centralize import and export related services under a single digital platform, in line with the Government’s broader digitalization agenda.

Phase One of the Tradian platform became operational on 20 April 2025. The platform brings together cross-border agencies to simplify and digitalize procedures related to international trade and vessel clearance through a single integrated system.

The newly introduced services will officially go live on Sunday, 10 May 2026. However, to ensure a smooth transition and allow stakeholders time to familiarize themselves with the new system, applications may continue to be submitted through existing channels in parallel with the Tradian platform until 10 June 2026.

From 11 June 2026 onwards, all applications for Vessel Declarations, Fireworks Import Permits, and Flare Import Permits will be processed exclusively through the Tradian platform.
