Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed during his official visit to the Maldives. The meeting held at Kurumba Maldives primarily focused on further strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries, and advancing strategic partnerships in today’s evolving global business environment.

This marks President Dissanayake’s first official visit to the Maldives since assuming the presidency in September last year. Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Sri Lanka were established in 1965, making this year a historic milestone as it marks the 60th anniversary of bilateral ties.
