Director General of the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Ali Shiaan, conducted a special information session on opportunities within the Maldives’ tourism sector.

Held as part of the ‘Maldives–Sri Lanka Business Forum 2026,’ the session featured extensive discussions by Director General Ali Shinan on opportunities to further diversify and expand the Maldives’ tourism industry beyond its current scope. Emphasis was placed on initiatives and strategies that could support the sustainable development of the sector moving forward.

In addition, detailed information was shared on ways to strengthen the tourism sector’s value chain and enhance its overall resilience and economic contribution.
