Mohamed Saeed has been sworn in as the Minister of Economic Development, Transport and Trade, following the government’s recent Cabinet restructuring.

The appointment comes after President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu expanded the ministry’s mandate to integrate transport alongside economic development and trade.

The newly restructured portfolio is expected to enhance policy coordination across key sectors, supporting more efficient implementation of national economic and infrastructure priorities.
