Ministry Announces Service Arrangements for the Last Ten Days of Ramadan

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has announced how its services will be provided during the last ten days of Ramadan.

As declared by the President of the Republic, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, the last ten days of Ramadan 1447 have been designated as government holidays. Considering this, the Ministry has outlined arrangements to continue providing services to the public and businesses during this period.

According to the Ministry’s announcement, although government offices will be closed from the 20th to the 30th of Ramadan, measures have been put in place to ensure that essential services required by businesses continue without interruption.

Business-related services:

Applications submitted through the OneGov portal (one.gov.mv) and the Business Portal (business.egov.mv) will be processed every day except Fridays and Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. However, the Ministry noted that processing times may be adjusted depending on the volume of requests during this period.

For information related to business registration, assistance will be available through the Live Chat service or by contacting the Contact Centre at 1500.

Foreign investment services:

Applications related to foreign investment should be submitted via email to [email protected]. For inquiries regarding this area, individuals may contact the Ministry by calling 3333181 or 3333182, every day except Fridays and Saturdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Additionally, online meetings can be arranged for parties wishing to meet with Ministry officials. Requests for such meetings should also be sent via email to [email protected].

These arrangements have been put in place to make it easier for the public to access the services provided by the Ministry, ensuring that there are no disruptions to these services even during the government holidays in the last ten days of Ramadan.
