Partnership name approval

Name Search & Reservation Application - G001

Business Name Registration Form - G002

°  Original of the partnership name approval signed by the Ministry


Partnership agreement

The partnership agreement must state:

°  Name of the partnership

°  The registered, full address of the partnership

°  Type of partnership

°  Partnership period (if limited to a certain duration)

°  Objectives (whether they do not contravene the Islamic principles or this Act or any other laws of the Country)

°  Details of partners:

- For individuals (name, address, nationality, NIC number if Maldivian, or passport number if foreign national)

- For legal entities (registered name, address, country, registration number and address of correspondence)

°  Name of managing partner

°  Total capital and individual share capital of partners

°  Procedures for entering into partnership, exiting partnership and removal of partners

°  Compliance with Clause 9 of the Partnership Act

°  Other information stated in the regulations formulated under the Partnership Act

°  Details of two witnesses (name, signature, NIC no.)


Acceptance letter from Managing partner

°  Signature of Managing Partner


National Identification Card copies

°  Clear and complete NIC copies of all partners


Registration fee

°  Registration fee as per Clause 13 of the Partnership Act.


How do I apply for the service?

Day 1:

1. Lodge application at counter.

2. If any information is missing, provide the required information.

If application is in order, receive invoice slip for payment.


* If there are any issues in approving the registration, the Ministry will notify via phone and request for any amendments if applicable.


Day 2:

3. Make payment.

4. Receive the original of certificate, registration letter, endorsed partnership agreement and payment receipt.

° Payment by cheque is acceptable only with bank guarantees.
