Foreign Employment Services

Ministry provides all regulatory approvals necessary to recruit expatriates for employment in Maldives. The approvals and permits are issued under the Employment Act and regulations made under it. Employers wishing to employ expatriates in their operations are required to obtain a ‘Quota’ based on a pre-determined criterion for different work-types. Upon obtaining a quota, the Employer can apply for an ‘Entry Pass’ which is a pre-requisite for all foreigners entering Maldives for employment.
