The Ministry of Economic Development (MED) was formed with a mandate to oversee all activities and matters related to trade and the economy. The functions of the ministry include the registration of different types of businesses, investments, companies and intellectual properties among other trade related entities. As such, the Ministry is responsible for the registration of companies, businesses, business names, import and export licences and copyrights. Currently, the Ministry provides these services via the Ministry counter, whereby you are required to download the respective forms required, or purchase the forms from the Post Office counter and submit the completed forms to the Ministry, along with any required documents.
